About PEACE! Toastmasters
Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization's membership exceeds 358,000 in more than 16,800 clubs in 143 countries. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders.

PEACE Toastmasters was incorporated as a club in 2012. Its mission was to provide a place for Democrats to meet, organize, and discuss. After moving online during the pandemic it was decided to open membership to any Democrat located anywhere in America. The goal remains the same, to provide a space for Democrats to meet and discuss their beliefs with like minded individuals.

About Our Meetings
Prepared Speeches
At each meeting several members present prepared speeches on topics of their choice. Most speeches are projects in the Toastmasters Pathways Program. Generally, prepared speeches are evaluated to provide the speaker with valuable feedback.
Table Topics
Table Topics is one of the highlights of our meetings. This section of the meeting focuses on developing our impromptu speaking skills. The Table Topics Master selects topics that challenge our members to speak off the cuff for 1-2 minutes. This skill is useful for anyone who is a candidate, a campaign volunteer, or a person employed in a profession where they must engage in responding to co-workers or customers.
Speech Evaluations
Speech Evaluations perform two functions at our meetings. They provide essential feedback to the speakers on areas where they did well and areas that need improvement. They also offer the evaluator a unique opportunity to critically listen to a speech, craft a thoughtful evaluation, and present a 2-3 minute review.
